GAME YOUR HULAS, BABIES!!!

« on: January 31, 2007, 05:18:38 PM »

On Friday, January 26th 2007, sixteen stout-hearted fools braved early morning wake-up calls to answer the 36-hole bell of the TCC Team Championship.
Fueled by enough Advil and caffeine to cripple a whale (in an effort to fend off the results of the great dinner the night before at Charley's Steak House -- thanks Vog!), the group headed toward the first tee at Remington GC.  However, the afternoon's tee times got botched by a poorly run Kissimmee Bay CC that tried to squeeze in more groups than times.  The result: our first group's 1pm tee time didn't go until 2:25pm, and no one finished the afternoon 18.
By everyone's own admission, we all played like crap, save for a respectable a.m. round score of 76 by Rojo Bungholio a.k.a. Cofey.  Several scorecards were "misplaced" thankfully, so no outcome could be determined.  Which is probably for the best...

Many thanks to Greg for organizing the event, and thanks to all who played.  It was a great time.

(NOTE:  To those that played, if you want the full-sized file of any of these pictures, shoot me PM with your email address so I can send them on.)

On to the photos:

Scott,

Thanks for posting the pictures.  Yes, it was quite chilly for the first few holes, but it turned out to be a great day.  It was a great meeting everyone and seeing some sweet putters.

Riff

<edit>  Just for clarification purposes, my screen name "tpariff" consists of two parts:

"tpa" - the airport code for Tampa, FL
"riff" - the first four letters of my last name

Apparently many people thought is was one word with some obscure meaning.  I'm not smart enough to make up words, so it's very simple.   laugh  And I'm too lazy to type in the missing "am" from the airport code!   wink

What, my photos aren't good enough for you?!?!?!  Yeah, I have to admit, the down-sized versions are a bit grainy.  And not that I have the registry memorized to just randomly provide you with the COA #, but........

Nice Pics there Danny! Are you headed to the Convention? If so, were on for a match. I'm bringing the longest 6 iron I own, and a nicely beaten M100 for your 1.5 GSS Red Snow, what do you think?

Oh yeah, no club limit in this tournament, because everyone would have been disqualified.  I had 3 putters, and that was the average.  I think Doc Breeden had 10.....

BMAC had 3, etc.....

I had 13 clubs + 3 putters...in my Scotty rule book, that is OK.. wink
